Our Kids Ministry

At Generation City Church, we love children and are committed to creating a safe, fun, and faith-filled environment where kids can learn about Jesus and grow in their relationship with Him at their level.

Every Sunday, our children are welcomed into safe, age-appropriate spaces where the Bible is taught in a creative, engaging, and relevant way. City Kids is just like church, but designed especially for kids.

At GCC, our children join us in the main service for worship. After worship, parents can check their children into City Kids. Each week, children learn about following Jesus through Bible teaching, discussion, games, music, art, craft, and free play.

We are excited to partner with parents and families to help children grow in their faith. Our heart is to provide a safe, loving, and encouraging environment where every child can be inspired to live for Jesus and grow into all that God has planned for them.

Our Program

City Kids is available for children aged 4–12 years.

City Kids is a fully-supervised Bible-based gathering where children enjoy games, music, teaching, activities, and opportunities to build friendships, all while being pointed to Jesus.

Your First Visit

Your First Visit

Here’s what to expect when visiting Generation City Church for the first time.

When you arrive, you will be welcomed by our team and invited to join us in the auditorium for worship. At the end of praise and worship, our MC will invite parents and children to proceed to the City Kids check-in area on the left-hand side of the auditorium.

When checking in for the first time, we will ask for the following information:

• Parent or guardian names
• Child's name and date of birth
• Home address
• Phone number
• Any allergies, medical needs, special needs, or important instructions

We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone outside of what is required for the care and safety of your child.

How Check-In Works

Checking in is simple. There will be two iPads where you can enter your details, and a label will be printed for each child and the parent. Head to the City Kids Check-In Area located in the upstairs auditorium, and one of our friendly City Kids team members will help you.

Before checking in and dropping your child off at City Kids, please make sure they have been to the toilet.

We encourage every child to bring their own Bible. We also ask that children do not bring personal toys or valuable items with them into the program.

After the service, a parent or guardian must collect their child within 10 minutes of the service ending. For safety reasons, children will not be allowed to leave unless they are collected by an adult.

At the end of the service, children can be checked out downstairs next to the lift entry.

Child-Friendly Spaces

To help families enjoy Sunday services, we provide several options for children of different ages.

Child Settling Room

Our Child Settling Room is available for parents with children aged 0–3 years.

Located upstairs next to the main doors, this parent-supervised room is designed for little ones to play and rest. It includes feeding and changing facilities and is connected to the service through a live feed on the TV screens.

Parents Corner

Our Parents Corner is located at the back of the auditorium. It provides plenty of space for prams and gives parents with young children a dedicated area where they can comfortably participate in the service.

Safety is Important To Us

Generation City Church is committed to providing a safe environment for children and young people who attend our programs, services, and facilities.

We align our child safety protocols with the ACC Child Protection Policy and ACC Safer Churches guidelines, helping to ensure that GCC is a safe place for children, families, volunteers, and visitors.

All City Kids team members are required to have:

• A current Working with Children Check
• A National Crime Check
• Safer Churches Training (renewed every 3 years)
• Annual WHS Training
